Two Boosters


The 187th day of 2022 has an obvious Two For Theme.  My 2 for 2022 for 7/6/2022 is Two Boosters.  Because, today, I got my second Covid booster shot.  Second of Moderna!  So I have two Pfizer and two Moderna and, if they make one in the Fall for this crazy variant that everyone I know seems to be getting, then I will get that one too!  It is comforting to know that the hospitalization and mortality rates of people who are infected are going down, but that does not make me let my own guard down.  I know I have a lot of other health circumstances so, just as I take 2 grams of Vitamin C a day (because Aaron Bechtel and Linus Pauling thought it boosts immunity), I'll continue to get boosted when I can, wear a mask when it seems necessary, and continue to hope and pray that I and those I know and love stay safe.  Even though we, as a society, are "over Covid," I know Covid is not over and wonder if it ever will be.  Until it is, booster me when necessary and thanks to all those who are developing these vaccines, working on the front lines, and trying their best to keep us all safe and healthy!

Facebook and Memories

  I know a lot of people who have given up on Social Media.  And, yes, I concur that the FB business model is filled with issues and shadiness.  But, on a rough day at work on 4/20/2022, I looked at my FB feed and a memory came up that made me beam with joy.  You all probably can see the memory below, on the 110th day of 2022, of when Alexa hit two homeruns in a softball game and Sarah got them both on video and Collingswood won 13-7.  Well, it was not a lot, but it got me through today with a smile on my face.  So I have thanks for my two for 2022 for tonight, Facebook and Memories.  Days like today are what keep me on the platform (well that and my need for this nightly reflection!)  Good Night all and may your memories be happy!

UD and Family Weekend

What a day the 274th day of 2022 has been.  Started off, where Anna was LAST year at the PTA Mum Sale for Collingswood High School.  A cold and wet sale that, although it did not sell as many we had hope we would, but the teamwork, camaraderie, and good humor amongst the myriad of volunteers made the time go fast (except for 7-9AM :-) ).  THEN, it was on to where Anna is now, and the Two for 2022 for 10/1/2022: UD and Family Weekend!  The Delaware Football Team won and is 5-0.  We got to see Kassidy and the Presses, I finally got to see Anna's dorm room (it looks really nice!), meet Anna's roommates, and check out the campus when students are actually present.  And we capped off the evening with some shopping, and dinner, at the Christiana Mall.  Anna seems to be really enjoying her time at UD and I am proud of her for her hard work and pursual of a career in K-6 education.  It was also really neat to see Family Weekend from another side, at a dif...
