Suzanne and Dan


My Two for 2022 for 9/9/2022 are Dan and Suzanne!  For the second Friday evening in a row, Sarah and I hung out with a friend couple.  And on the 252nd day of 2022 (double palindromic at 252 and 9/9!) we went to the Phillies.  Dan and Suzanne invited us and we readily said yes!  The weather was amazing, we got to see Hoskins and JT homer (they also both homered the last time we went on 7/3!) and the Phillies won!  But the best part was hanging out with Dan and Suzanne who have been an important part of our lives at church, musically, in parenting, and in life.  We are all in the same Spiritual Companionship group at Church (Zoom meetings started during Covid that have continued even as things have gone back in person).  And that is a great way to sum them up for us, spiritual companions.  Now we are both "Empty Nesters" and now they live so much closer to us, so I look forward to many evenings like tonight with our spiritual companions and good friends!

Facebook and Memories

  I know a lot of people who have given up on Social Media.  And, yes, I concur that the FB business model is filled with issues and shadiness.  But, on a rough day at work on 4/20/2022, I looked at my FB feed and a memory came up that made me beam with joy.  You all probably can see the memory below, on the 110th day of 2022, of when Alexa hit two homeruns in a softball game and Sarah got them both on video and Collingswood won 13-7.  Well, it was not a lot, but it got me through today with a smile on my face.  So I have thanks for my two for 2022 for tonight, Facebook and Memories.  Days like today are what keep me on the platform (well that and my need for this nightly reflection!)  Good Night all and may your memories be happy!

UD and Family Weekend

What a day the 274th day of 2022 has been.  Started off, where Anna was LAST year at the PTA Mum Sale for Collingswood High School.  A cold and wet sale that, although it did not sell as many we had hope we would, but the teamwork, camaraderie, and good humor amongst the myriad of volunteers made the time go fast (except for 7-9AM :-) ).  THEN, it was on to where Anna is now, and the Two for 2022 for 10/1/2022: UD and Family Weekend!  The Delaware Football Team won and is 5-0.  We got to see Kassidy and the Presses, I finally got to see Anna's dorm room (it looks really nice!), meet Anna's roommates, and check out the campus when students are actually present.  And we capped off the evening with some shopping, and dinner, at the Christiana Mall.  Anna seems to be really enjoying her time at UD and I am proud of her for her hard work and pursual of a career in K-6 education.  It was also really neat to see Family Weekend from another side, at a dif...
