Ups and Downs
So, here we are, Day #365 of 2022. The year has come to an end and, honestly, I am glad it has. 12/31/2022 was another good day (most days on this Break have been good!) But my 2 for 2022 for tonight is still Ups and Downs. 2022 - what a year. Some amazing things have happened.... Anna's graduation from HS, Anna's prom, Anna's move-in and 1st semester at UDel. Alexa's year at Penn has been filled with amazing clinical experiences and her friendships have grown plentiful and stronger. And she liked her Summer Job enough to continue it as a PRN position through the year. My project finally launched at work and, even though there are a lot of support tickets, it is going remarkably well from a meta, 10,000 foot view. But life has also been overwhelming. Mainly because of work, where the workload and stress has been getting to me more than I would like to admit. In fact, Sarah and my jobs both have caused a bit of stress and, coincidentally, my health has been up and down. Up and Down, like my A1C, 12.1 on 3/1 and 5.3 on 8/1. Who knows what it is now? (editor's note, I MUST get myself over to Labcorps early in 2023!) And my ankle, so much pain, but, then again, got a brace in December and things are looking up! Yes, there have been downs and, sometimes, we let the downs get to us MUCH more than we should. But there have been so many ups, two weddings, other amazing times with family, graduations, celebrations, laughter, music, and so much more. Here's to 2023 for us all where the UPS will outnumber the DOWNS. That is my prayer for you all, for US all, tonight. Happy New Year!
